To All Unit Commanders, Adjutants, and Ad
Patrons: We are about to begin preparing the yearbook
for the 78th year of the IALOH. On behalf of the people who worked
very hard to produce the yearbook for the 77th year, thank you,
everyone, for your advertisements. We are asking you to place an advertisement
in this new book. Also, please help by asking all of your friends, business
acquaintances, and Divan members to place an advertisement in the upcoming
yearbook for our Association. While we do dedicate this book to the new
International Commander, his staff of Officers, the Legion of Honor Units and
members and to our fallen comrades, it is really your book. It is produced
strictly for you, the members. Together, we show support by placing individual
ads, Unit ads, ads from your Shrine Center and other patrons. We will continue to scan your pictures, and
text articles. You may send your pictures as color or black and white prints or
you may send them via e-mail Last year’s plan will continue because it worked
well: 1.) Your pictures will be scanned onto a disk. They can be returned to you
if you send a Self Addressed, Stamped Envelope. 2.) Furnish an e-mail address or
a S. A. S. E. Your ad can be sent to you so you will know what to expect in the
final book. 3.) For special artwork, please be sure that a clean crisp copy of
your artwork is sent to me, either by mail or e-mail. 4.) If you don’t want
changes to be made to your ad, they will remain the same as in the 2006-2007
books. 5.) You can send your ads to me, the International Adjutant immediately.
If you desire to make a change after submission but before the deadline, every
effort will be made to include your changes. |

Special Note to Commanders and Adjutants: If
you have an e-mail address, please let us know what it is. We will send you a
copy of your unit’s listing that will be in the book so that you can review it
and help us ensure that it correct. The deadline for
submitting ads this year will be 07 May
2007. We hope to have the yearbook distributed to each Unit and
purchaser by June 30th or sooner. In an effort to achieve this, any
ad arriving after 07 May 2007 will be returned to the purchaser along
with any monies received for the ad. Today is not too early to send your ad copy
to me, especially if you have pictures or other unique artwork. As you know, we are trying to produce an
error free book. That takes a lot of work by several people. The preparation of
the book must begin as soon as possible so that any typographical errors will be
edited and corrected; you can get a pre-printing copy of your ad. The more work
that can be accomplished early, the sooner the book will be distributed. We
still want to provide each person with a yearbook that he or she will be proud
to own. |

Please help us in this project by doing the
following:
2. BUY AN AD and SELL AN
AD TO YOUR FRIENDS AND SHRINE CENTER.
3. Complete
the ad form. Did you order a picture for your ad?
4. Include your payment
when sending ads to the International Adjutant.
5. Write legibly on both
the ad form and the ad copy.
6. Give us an e-mail
address or a phone number so that we can contact you with any questions we may
have.
7. If you are using a
picture in your ad, please send a clear, crisp photo. If it is a digital photo,
please send it via e-mail to preserve its quality. If you are using a drawing,
use the best possible drawing that you can.
8. Lastly, send in your
ad today! The
yearbook is now entirely digital. By following the above procedures, errors can
be identified and eliminated and you will get the best possible book. Yours
